Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. A bitch doesn’t take. A litter comes up small. And four months later, the money you planned on isn’t there. The bills don’t stop coming, even though the revenue does.
Most of a litter goes to covering the cost of raising it. The reward, if there is one, is in the last puppy or two. One more sellable puppy or kitten is the difference between scraping by and having something to show for the work.
The big companies profit from every puppy you place, in the lean months too. They keep selling the food, the treats, the toys, everything those puppies, dogs, cats and kittens will ever need, for the life of the animal. And in exchange for the recommendation that started it all, they give you a coupon.
It isn’t much of a coupon. It’s more of an insult than anything else, but it’s all they’ll give, so you take it. A coupon doesn’t buy gas. A coupon doesn’t pay a vet bill. A coupon doesn’t pay a grocery bill. And even with that coupon, they’re still making a profit on your next purchase. They’re giving you nothing.
To make it worse, they don’t listen to you. They have never listened to you, to your suggestions, to your product recommendations. You’re left out in the wilderness to care for these puppies by yourself. You’re not a nutritionist. You’re not a scientist. You’re not a vet. But there you are, late at night, talking in peer groups, trying to find anything that works to help you care for your kennel or cattery.

We have never sold through a store. Since we first offered pet food in 2000, pet professionals like you have been the people who carry our name into homes. That is not a channel to us. It is the company.
The profit is shared
Every recommendation you make that turns into a customer earns you a share of it, for as long as that family keeps feeding our food. It will not make the lean months disappear. It softens them. Our Income Disclosure Statement is attached below, so you can see exactly what that has meant for others.
We don’t just listen; we act.
Everything in the next four sections exists because breeders asked for it and worked on it with us. None of it came out of a marketing meeting.
Whelping Wonders. A food for the whelping bitch.
There are very few foods on the market made for a bitch in whelp. We made one, with breeders, and released it in 2026. It is early, and the first results and reviews are five stars.
Breeders were adamant about one thing: no unnecessary phytoestrogens. So we took them out. Whelping Wonders carries no flaxseed, the usual source; its omega-3s come from fish instead. That is written into the formula, not added on.
A patent-pending companion supplement to Whelping Wonders follows in 2027.

Our Performance food came out of the same conversations: breeders told us what a working dog needs, and we built it with them.

Bee Clear is our dental liquid, and it is patented. The United States government examined it and agreed it is unique and non-obvious enough to deserve one. Fewer cleanings, lower vet bills, and you can see what it does in the before-and-after pictures filed with the patent. Ear Care does the same kind of work for a busy kennel.

Some of our competitors tout a formulator as the hero of the brand: veterinarian formulated, and a name. In our first few years we did the same. As we learned, we realized that a single formulator is not what leads to true quality, because no one person is an expert in fat, fiber, protein, digestibility and bioavailability all at once. So we work with a team of formulators, some of the best in the industry, who collaborate with us on every project. They advise. They do not run it. We do, because the brand, the integrity and the quality are ours to protect, and staying that involved is what gives their expertise its voice in the bag.
Since 2010, a week together
Every year since 2010 we take the people who make this possible on a week’s cruise with the executive team. In 2026 it was a seven-day Caribbean sailing. In 2027 it is eight days in the Southern Caribbean.
Seventy-five cabins are awarded free. Cabin, gratuities, port fees, all paid. They pay nothing. Anyone else is welcome to sail at their own cost.

Feeding trials, the real kind.
Five of our foods have completed AAFCO feeding trials at an independent facility that runs them for many of the major brands. Not in-home trials. Every one passed on its first attempt, and none was stopped. The sixth is under way now.
